R+P Post 7: Record labels of Interest

Universal Music UK
Universal Music UK is the UK's leading music company that umbrella's a series of record labels under it; for example Island Records Group and Decca Records. Initially it's an American worldwide music corporation but the Universal music groups international (UMGI) headquarters is set up in London and has been home to artists from 'Take That' and 'Florence+the Machine' to 'Mumford & Sons' and 'The Rolling Stones'.
It's stores are primarily online based with few real life stores as it has such a huge global appeal and so has to be accessible internationally, therefore online nowadays is the way to go for it.

 Above is just a small selection of the artists they manage and as you can see it's a wide variety of genres, styles and personalities: from RnB rap to punk rock etc.

On their website, universal does have its own section that is dedicated to just new artists; where you (the audience) can find out all about who they are, what music they are playing, where and when you can catch them live and why Universals A&R's signed them.
